well, this happened quite a few weeks ago, but was most truamatic, so i had to include a post about this scandalous period of time.
first of all, she was not allowed to play with scissors (for cutting up her curtains), or with markers (for coloring on various pieces of furniture)
second, she decided to sneak into our room when we were on a date, secure a sharpie, and then proceed to color all over her door and door know with said sharpie.
the next day, she was informed of her punishments--which were many
third, when i proceed to repaint the parts of the door, i noticed crayon markings on the back of the door and on the wall behind it, which must have been put there after her first offense. needless to say, she was punished more, including being grounded from all markers and crayons (kinda hard to do art that way!)
fourth, we proceeded to have a rough week of "battles" and just as i thought things were getting better, i noticed that the kid scissors were missing, after we had just been using them. you can imagine what job they were unwittingly called in to do......
i have changed it a little since then, and it is quite nice not to have to do her hair as much, but if i don't do something with it, it looks a little masculine...oh well, at least it'll grow back in another 4 years!

We so can't wait 'til Zack gets to that age and either does this to himself or (more likely) to his younger siblings.
