well, this past wednesday was jeremy's first day of kindergarten. yes, we officially have a school-aged child. just think, in 5 more years, they'll all be in school and i'll have to get a job or something (yeah, right). he was really excited and counting down the days. nate went to work late, so we all walked together up to the bus stop (4 houses up the street)
all these kids that i've never seen before congregated at the corner, waiting for the bus. once it came, jeremy gave everyone hugs and just turned and went on. no tears, no nervousness, nothing. i have to admit that i teared up a bit, but i probably wouldn't have if jeremy had needed some extra support.
he waved to us while sitting on the bus and then he was gone. once we got home, katya said that it was boring, but she's still gone to drop him off every day since then. it's been a rough adjustment for the kids to have him gone--and now i have a lot more work entertaining them! but, it's still an exciting event.

All of the children in Rexburg started school today. I watched them all load up on the bus...I almost cried thinking that my five month old will someday go to school! Glad all is well! We need to have another Zmolek reunion because the last time I saw your family was when you just had your first baby and you were living in NM. Crazy!
